  • Friday Cup Practice is being run at Darlington Raceway. Just halfway over and #38-Elliott Sadler is the quickest at 168.845mph, followed by #97-Kurt Busch 167.802 and #23-Kenny Wallace at 167.653. The Petty cars are slowest, #45-Kyle Petty at 161.307 and #43-John Andretti at 162.479.(3-14-2003)

  • Qualifying Order is up for Darlington. See my Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 Race Info page for the links. 43 cars are listed [all make the race, no provisionals charged]. First driver due out is #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. Last and 43rd driver svheduled to go out is #54-Todd Bodine.(3-14-2003)

  • Only 42 cars at Darlington? UPDATE: the Entry List is up for the Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 Winston Cup race at Darlington Raceway. There are only 42 drivers/cars/teams listed, all the full time teams [#09-Mike Wallace will NOT be attempting the race as rumored]. 43 make up a full field (a full field - why 43? see my Racing FAQ page). If it stays at 43 or under, no team that uses a Provisional will be charged, this is the first race that 2003 Owners Points are used to determine Provisional's.     UPDATE: make it 43 as Brett Bodine has been entered in the #57 Team CLR Ford.(3-11-2003)
