  • Cup Qualifying at Atlanta: Qualifying for the MBNA Bass Pro Shops 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway is scheduled to start at 3:05pm/et on Friday, March 7th, will be televised via TAPE on FX [check local listings] at 8:00pm/et [no re-air date/time found].

    Qualifying can be heard LIVE on radio via PRN Radio and XM Satellite - NASCAR Radio - Channel 144

    and via the Internet at NASCAR.com's paid service, Trackpass.
    Jayski is back to normal and Eastern Time and will run my separate Qualifying page with all the speeds updated every five drivers or so, with practice speeds to compare, provisional rank; as I watch/listen to qualifying.(3-7-2003)

  • Surprise! Rain at Atlanta: The early morning rain that fell at Atlanta Motor Speedway appears to be on its way out of the area, but it has juggled the Friday schedule for activities. ARCA series competitors are expected to line up for Saturday's race according to points, but crews should be finished drying the Hampton, Ga., track soon, allowing Winston Cup cars onto the track surface for a two-hour practice. Officials hope to work in a 45-minute ARCA series practice before Cup qualifying for Sunday's Bass Pro Shops/MBNA 500 Friday afternoon.(ThatsRacin.com)(3-7-2003)
